Why Buy Your Light Fixtures Here

Made for Mobile Home Ceiling Boxes.

Many mobile home ceilings use a bar hanger that slides between the joists and secures from inside the ceiling, rather than an electrical box screwed directly to a joist. A larger fixture with mounting tabs designed for a flat box may not align with this setup.

Replace the Shade Without Replacing the Fixture.

If the glass shade is broken but the fixture base is still in good condition, you may only need a replacement shade. Round, square, and jar-style shades are available separately, with clear and white options for different rooms and lighting preferences.

Find the Small Hardware You Need.

Shade nuts and thumbscrews are available separately, so you can replace missing or damaged hardware without replacing the entire light fixture. This is useful when the fixture base is still in good condition, but a small mounting piece is missing.

Pick Up in North Carolina or Have It Shipped.

Shades, bases, and hardware ship nationwide, or you can pick them up at any of our 7 North Carolina locations in Fayetteville, Erwin, Sanford, Goldsboro, Winston-Salem, and Ramseur. Call 800-368-6208 to confirm availability before ordering or making the trip.

Four Checks Before You Order

Check these four details before choosing a replacement mobile home light fixture or shade.

Box Type Behind the Fixture

Remove the old fixture and look at what it attaches to. A metal bar running across the opening may indicate a bar hanger, while a round box mounted flush with the ceiling may use a different mounting pattern. Identify the existing mounting setup before choosing a replacement fixture.

Wiring and Connections

Before removing the fixture, note how the existing wires are connected and whether a ground wire is present. Wiring configurations vary, so do not rely only on wire color when identifying the connections. Turn off the power at the breaker and follow the fixture manufacturer's installation instructions.

Fixture Weight and Mounting Support

Check that the existing mounting hardware can support the replacement fixture. A heavier fixture may require different mounting support than a lightweight ceiling light. If you cannot confirm that the existing hanger or box is suitable for the fixture's weight, check with a qualified electrician before installing it.

Shade Fit on the New Base

Check how the replacement shade attaches to the fixture base and make sure the shade nut matches the base. Shade nuts and threads can vary, so compare the existing hardware with the replacement shade before ordering it separately.
