Mobile Home Flashing

Mobile home flashing acts as a type of sealant for mobile home roofs. The flashing is made from a metal material, often aluminum, and works to move water off the roof and away from the home. This is especially important for flat roofs, which are common in manufactured homes, where water often sits and moves off the roof more slowly. It also works to ensure that water does not pool and sit in areas such as around the chimney or seep into cracks where the room meets the siding. Protect your home against water damage and keep your roof in top condition with our roof flashing.

Mobile Home Roof Flashing

We carry the following types of mobile roof flashing:

  • Aluminum- Lightweight, aluminum sheet that is easy to install.
  • Galvanized- Steel coated with zinc to add extra protection against rust.

Our roof flashing is available in two different sizes: 12” x 50ft or 10” x 50 ft. Choose between the two depending on the size of the roof and the sections you are covering.

Choosing Roof Flashing for Your Mobile Home

When choosing the type of roof flashing for your home, keep the following in mind:

  • Installation- If you are looking for a roof flashing that is easy to install, we recommend our aluminum flashing. It is lightweight and easier to manipulate and work with. If you are planning to install the flashing on your own as a DIY project, aluminum is the way to go for an easier installation. The galvanized steel is thicker, making it a bit harder to work with. It is also much heavier than the aluminum. If you are installing galvanized flashing, we recommend speaking with a professional to ensure it is being done correctly.
  • Price- Galvanized flashing is cheaper up front, while aluminium flashing is more expensive. Naturally, aluminum is more expensive than galvanized steel, but it usually lasts longer and is stronger. It is also waterproof and corrosion-resistant. Galvanized flashing is cheaper to buy; however doesn’t hold up like the aluminum, which can lead to extra spending to fix over time.
