Factory-standard 36"x96" panels sized for manufactured home exteriors. No heavy trimming required. A cleaner fit and a faster repair.
The Mesa Deluxe rib profile replicates original manufactured home siding. Replace one damaged section without touching the rest of the wall.
Older mobile homes came in a narrow range of exterior colors. White and cream cover the majority of them. Pick the one that sits closest to what you have.
We are a mobile home supply store, not a general building store. Tell us about your home, and we will confirm the right panel before you order.
A replacement panel covers the flat wall section. These are the pieces that complete the repair properly.
You cannot seal metal siding laps without fresh putty tape behind the flange. Butyl-based putty tape beds against the wall surface and stops water from tracking behind the new panel through seasonal movement.
Required if your damaged panel runs to an outside corner of the home. Covers the joint where two wall sections meet. Without it, the repair leaves an exposed edge. Call us for an ETA: we can often pull from our other 6 NC locations.
Used to fasten metal panels without crushing the rib profile. Standard screws driven directly into the panel face can distort the corrugation. Rumble buttons distribute the load and keep the panel face flush.
If your home has a mix of panel types or you are replacing multiple sections, browse our vinyl siding category for additional exterior coverage choices. Fixing the base of your home too? See our metal skirting for mobile homes.
Metal siding panels are non-returnable once cut or installed. Unopened, uncut panels may be returned within 30 days and are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please verify your Mesa profile and dimensions before your order ships. View Full Return Policy
Do not measure the damaged panel you are pulling off. Measure the actual wall opening from edge to edge. The 36"x96" panel can be trimmed to fit. If your opening is exactly 36" wide, you are in the clear. If it is wider, you will need to overlap two panels to cover the full section.
Look at your existing siding from the side. Does it have a ribbed or waved texture running along the length? These panels use the Mesa Deluxe profile, common on older mobile homes. If your existing siding is perfectly flat, the Mesa Deluxe will not blend seamlessly. Call us before ordering: 1-800-368-6208.
Check whether your current panels run vertically (up and down) or horizontally (side to side). These replacement panels are built for vertical installation. Installing them horizontally prevents the laps from shedding water correctly, which pushes moisture into the wall over time.
Older white siding yellows with age and can look identical to cream indoors. Wipe a clean section of existing siding and hold it in direct midday sunlight. White reads bright, like a refrigerator finish. Cream reads warm and almond. When in doubt, order cream. It hides age better.
Back out the screws holding the existing panel to the wall framing. Work from the top down. If the panel is bent or buckled, use a flat bar to release it from the laps of adjacent panels without pulling those panels out of alignment.
Inspect the wall sheathing behind the removed panel for soft spots, moisture damage, or rot. Address any structural issues before the new panel goes on. A new panel over a compromised wall surface will not solve the underlying problem.
Before setting the new panel, run putty tape along the top edge and any horizontal lap where the panel meets adjacent siding. Putty tape creates the water seal between the panel and the wall. This is what keeps moisture out long term.
Slide the new panel into position, engaging the lap profiles of the panels above and beside it. Check that the ribs are running vertically and edges are flush with neighboring panels before driving any fasteners.
Drive fasteners using roof rumble buttons to distribute load without crushing the rib profile. If the top edge runs near the roofline, confirm the flashing overlap is intact. Note: Once cut, panels cannot be returned.
Our panels cost $69.39 (cream) or $78.25 (white) each, and outside corner trim is $11.45. Most small repairs need one or two panels. Panels cannot be returned once cut or installed, so call 1-800-368-6208 to confirm your rib pattern first.
Close, but not exact. Old siding fades over the years, so a new panel looks brighter at first and blends in as it weathers. The Mesa Deluxe rib pattern matches most older mobile homes, and white and cream cover the most common colors. Order one panel and compare it on the wall before you buy the rest.
About 64 panels for the full outside, before you subtract doors and windows. A 16x80 home has 192 feet of wall around it. At 8 feet tall, that is about 1,536 square feet, and each 36 x 96 inch panel covers 24 square feet. For a repair, measure the damaged area and divide by 24. Call us with your numbers, and we will check them.
For a repair, replacing only the damaged metal panels costs the least, starting at $69.39 per panel. For a full re-side, vinyl costs less per panel than steel. Compare both in our full siding category.
Yes, especially if water is getting in. Water behind a panel reaches the insulation and framing, and that leads to rot that costs far more than a new panel. Even cosmetic damage is worth fixing before it opens up.
Yes, if it comes off flat. Old panels screw through the face into the framing. If yours comes off without bending or tearing at the screw holes, you can put it back. If it is warped or torn, replace it.
It dents, and it fades. Hail and impact are the top reasons people replace metal siding, and the color dulls with age, which makes matching harder. Panels that are not sealed with putty tape can trap moisture. The upside: you can fix one section at a time, and it holds screws well.
Remove the screws and take off the damaged panel. Check the wall behind it for soft spots, run putty tape along the laps, set the new panel, and fasten it with rumble buttons. The five steps are listed on this page.
