Brass flare fittings are a type of compression fitting manufactured for HVAC, plumbing, gas lines, and more. These heavy-duty fittings create a metal-to-metal, leak-tight seal, especially in high-pressure lines. This is possible with the help of a flaring tool, which flares the end of a copper, steel, or aluminum pipe. As all American Mobile Home Supply products are specific to manufactured homes, you can trust that these fittings will fit your mobile home's gas, plumbing, and HVAC lines.

Understanding Different Brass Flare Pipe Fittings

At American Supply, we carry the following brass flair fittings:

  • Female/Male Flare Adapter - Connect flared pipe ends to another fitting.
  • Tubing Cutter - Cuts pipes to create a flush finish.
  • Flaring Tool - Flare a pipe for a flare fitting to connect.
  • Male Flare Plug - Seal off the end of a flared tube.
  • Flare Elbow- Changes the direction of a pipe at a 90-degree angle. Available with male or female connections. Also available with a flare plug on both ends.
  • Flare Tee - Creates a three-way connection from the main line.
  • Brass Flare Reduce Union - Used to connect two different-sized flared tubes.
  • Brass Flare Swivel - A fitting that allows for adjustments to be made without twisting the lines.

Before Choosing Your Brass Flare Fittings

When it comes time to purchase brass flare fittings for your project, consider the following:

  • Pressure - Know the maximum amount of pressure that your fittings and systems can withstand before purchasing to ensure the fittings will work.
  • Outside Diameter - Ensure the fitting matches the size of the tubes' outside diameter (OD) before flaring the tube.
  • Thread Type - Double-check the thread you are working with to know if you need a female or male fitting.
  • Tools - Ensure you have all the tools to install a brass flare fitting. Both a flaring tool and tubing cutters are important to have. If you make a mistake, you can easily cut the pipe with the cutters and re-flare it with the flaring tool.
