Mobile Home Closet Hardware

Closet hardware is a simple yet effective way to upgrade your closet. The hardware refers to knobs, rods, and other items that help you create a functional closet space. Adding hardware to your closet helps increase storage space, allowing easier organization. Easily add character to your closet by adding knobs to spruce up the look of the doors and make them more functional. At American Mobile Home Supply, we are here for all your closet upgrades.

Closet Hardware Upgrades

At American Supply, we carry the following mobile home closet hardware:

  • Closet Rods - Used to hang clothes. Easy installation, available in different sizes.
  • Mirror Clips - 6 acrylic clips (with screws) for secure mirror mounting.
  • Closet Door Guide - A track that mounts on the floor for sliding doors to easily pass through.
  • Closet Door Hanger - For sliding door closets, attaches the door to the ceiling.
  • Closet Knobs - Handles installed on closet doors to open and close with ease.

How to Install Your New Closet Hardware

Closet hardware is something that most individuals can do on their own with everyday tools. The most important tools for installing closet hardware are:

  • Tape measure - To measure the space.
  • Pencil - Used to make mark measurements and screw placement.
  • Level - Checks to make sure that the object is straight and is not leaning to one side.
  • Screwdriver - Handheld tool used to secure screws.
  • Drill - A power tool used to drive screws quickly and securely.

The most important installation step is to measure properly. Poor measuring could lead to issues with the closet, which makes it less functional. From there, having a pencil handy will allow you to mark the measurements for an easier installation. The material you are working with will determine if you need a screwdriver or a drill to secure the screws. When working with hard materials such as wood, a drill is the more efficient option. If the material has pilot holes (pre-drilled holes that a screw can easily fit into), then a screwdriver could be used. Always check with a level before securing with screws.
