Thermostats

A thermostat for mobile homes regulates the temperature within the home. This keeps temperatures at a comfortable level for residents while saving on energy costs. Due to the wiring systems within manufactured homes, mobile home thermostats usually differ from those of standard homes. At American Mobile Home Supply, we proudly provide our customers with products specifically designed for mobile homes. Have peace of mind that the products you are purchasing will work smoothly in your home.

Mobile Home Thermostat Options

The thermostats for mobile homes that we carry are HUD-compliant to ensure your home, family, and systems are safe and running smoothly. Our thermostats are available in two different options:

  • Digital Thermostat - Uses electronic sensors to measure the temperature. A digital, backlit screen displays the temperature. Easily adjust the temperature by using the up or down arrow buttons on the thermostat. Comes with a one-year warranty. Our digital thermostats are not programmable.
    • 2 Heat/2 Cool- For non-heat pump systems; this type has 2 heating and 2 cooling stages. It starts the first stage and switches to the second stage if additional heating is needed. Using two stages can save energy as the system is not always running at full capacity.
    • 2 Heat/1 Cool- For heat pump systems, the heating system utilizes two sources of heat, the heat pump as the primary, and runs the auxiliary or emergency heat if needed. The 1 cool refers to using the heat pump's compressor to cool the home.
  • Mechanical Thermostat- Uses a mechanical mercury sensor to measure the temperature, with the temperature displayed in a small rectangular box below numbers listed from 50 to 90. Provides a simple switch to change from heat to cool settings. Comes with a three-year warranty.

What Thermostat is Right For Your Home?

The correct thermostat for your home depends on your HVAC system. For those with a conventional system, such as a traditional gas, oil, or electric furnace, you need a 2H/2C mobile home thermostat. If you have a dual system for heating that combines a heat pump with a gas furnace, you will need a 2H/1C thermostat. Once you know which type of thermostat you need, look at prices and choose one that fits your budget and is easy for you to use.
