The kitchen is a space in one's home that is used each day. A focal point within the kitchen is the kitchen cabinets. Not only do cabinets provide storage space in the kitchen, but they also play a large role in the design aspect of the space. Kitchen renovations can be costly and require a lot of work. An easier and more affordable way to spruce up the look of your kitchen is to replace the cabinet doors. By doing so, you can instantly give your kitchen a new feel.
What Styles of Cabinet Doors do We Offer?
At American Mobile Home Supply, we offer a variety of mobile home cabinet doors made from the following materials:
- Wood - Solid and durable, a bit more expensive; however, wood is built to last.
- MDF - Medium-density fiberboard is a type of material that has been created from wood fibers, wax, and resin. This is an affordable option and looks very similar to solid wood cabinet doors.
Upgrading your mobile home cabinet doors isn’t just choosing a wood or MDF material. You also need to choose what type of panel you want the door to have. We have different panel styles available, including raised, arched, open, and flat. This brings your cabinets to life and adds a lot of personality to your home. You then need to choose the color you want your doors to be. MDF doors have a smooth, flat surface, making them easy to paint any color you want. We offer different color wood and MDF cabinet doors, such as: husk brown, honey, chocolate, white, mocha composite, light brown, cherry, and natural. With so many different colors to choose from, you will be able to find the perfect color to fit your home and bring your kitchen to life. Some of our mobile home cabinet doors include predrilled holes for hinges. See the description before purchasing if this is something you are interested in. All of the hinges and other hardware, such as knobs, will be purchased separately.
How to Replace Your Mobile Home Kitchen Cabinet Doors?
When it comes time to purchase new cabinet doors, start by measuring the overlay of your current cabinet door. With the cabinet door closed, make a mark at the top of the door. Next, open the door and measure from the mark to the inside edge of the cabinet. This is the overlay measurement. From here, you need to measure without the door or with the door open. Measure from the opening of the cabinet from the top to the bottom, and from left to right. You will need the overlay and opening measurements in order to find the correct size cabinet doors.
If you purchase doors with predrilled holes, you simply need to screw the hinges into the door and then into the cabinet frame. If you are purchasing doors without predrilled holes, you will need to measure where you want the hinges to be. This adds an extra step but allows for customization. Once you measure for the hinges, mark and drill holes. Then follow the same installation steps as above.
