Window screens are an important accessory for mobile homes. They protect your home from insects and prevent outdoor elements, such as leaves, from being blown into your home. Mobile home windows are specially designed and are sized specifically for mobile homes. The same can be said about window screens. You can trust that when you purchase your screens from American Mobile Home Supply, they will be a perfect fit!

What To Keep In Mind When Choosing Mobile Home Window Screens?

Before purchasing mobile home window screens, consider the type of material you want the screens to be made of. Our screens and frames are made from aluminum. This is a great option when purchasing window screens, as aluminum is a strong material. They are sturdy and less likely to lose their shape, bend, or sag like other materials. Aluminum window screens are also resistant to corrosion, which means they will last and won’t need to be replaced due to rusting out. This is important in general, however, especially if you live in a climate that is prone to rain and humidity. Next, consider the style of your home and the look you are going for when it comes to window screens. The frames that we carry are available in either a black or white finish. Both pair nicely with the charcoal colored mill screen.

How to Install Your New Window Screen

In order to ensure you are purchasing the correct size window screens for your mobile home, make sure you measure before you buy! When measuring your window, keep in mind that you need to measure the window opening rather than the window frame. Measure where the screen will be sitting, which is inside the window opening. Measure from left to right at both the top and bottom of the window opening. Then measure from top to bottom on both sides. Once you have finished, search our selection of screens and find the ones that align with your measurements. Screen installation is easy and can be done from inside or outside of your mobile home. The tension spring clips on our screens are located on the top of the frame. Lift and push the screen into the window opening, then slide the bottom of the screen into place. Check for a snug fit, and make sure the corners line up correctly. That’s it. There is no need for any screws to secure the screen; the tension springs take care of that. Browse our variety of window accessories and hardware to finish off the look. If you are interested in further securing your home, consider upgrading your doors and/or windows. These upgrades can keep pests out, ensure your family is safe, and cut back on energy costs. Trust the experts at American Mobile Home Supply for all your mobile home needs!
