Time to Upgrade
Windows are a vital part of a mobile home; however, they are often overlooked by many. Windows can spruce up the look of your space, help you save on energy, and protect your home. It could be time to change or replace your windows and doors when you notice an increase in your electric bill. This may mean that your windows are letting hot or cold air in. If your windows are getting stuck or are difficult to open, it's time to look for new windows. This poses a threat to the security of your home as the hardware of your windows is failing. If you are sick and tired of looking at your run-down, ugly windows, it’s time to replace them. Let the experts at American Mobile Home Supply find you the windows you’ve always dreamed of. Window Types At American Mobile Home Supply, we carry different types of windows to make upgrading your mobile home easy, including:- Aluminum Windows- The best choice of window to endure extreme weather conditions, such as hot temperatures or stormy seasons. They are sturdy and can withstand high winds. They also don’t leak or let water in.
- Storm Windows- Use indoor storm windows with your current window to create a double barrier. Storm windows help conserve electricity as the double layer of glass helps to reduce drafts.
- Vinyl Insulated Windows- Made from PVC materials to make them moisture resistant. This keeps the windows from rotting out and needing to be replaced.
- Low-E Insulated Vinyl Windows- Low-E Insulated Vinyl Windows have a UV coating that blocks harmful sun rays from entering your home and destroying your furniture.
Window Sizes
We offer windows in an array of sizes to ensure a perfect fit. Having a secure window in its frame helps prevent drafts and conserve energy, especially in the winter and summer months. Make sure to properly measure your window space to select the correct size window for your mobile home before purchasing. When measuring for your windows, keep the following in mind:- You’ll need a tape measure
- For the most accurate measurements, it is recommended to remove the window.
- Measure the rough opening where the window is going to sit, NOT the window itself or the frame.
- Measure first from left to right to find the width. Try to measure from window jam to window jam.
- Measure up and down to find the height. You will measure from the sill (window sill) to the top of the window. Measure both the left and right side to make sure the measurements are the same.
- Check to see if the window is square. To do this, you will measure the window diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Then from the bottom right corner to the top left.
